I’m a photographer, entrepreneur and author.

A thread runs through my life: helping people come together in meaningful ways. In earlier chapters, I helped grow eBay, Facebook, and Instagram internationally — platforms that reshaped how billions relate. Later, I co-founded People & Company, a firm devoted to community building. That work became Get Together, a book with Stripe Press that’s part guide, part love letter to those who build with care. Substack acquired the firm in 2021.

Through the lens, I’m drawn more to the interstitial moments more than the highlights.

I live between Costa Rica and Canada, and often spend time in Italy and Singapore. I’m a fan of Richard Feynman, Richard Serra, chicken wings, slow cars driven fast and tiny waves ridden slowly.
