A Roman Journey

It began, as many things in Rome do, over a long dinner. We were talking about Picasso—how it was the 50th anniversary of his grand tour of the city, when he soaked up Rome and collaborated with friends. I asked Andrea and Daria who they would want to experience such a journey with, and without missing a beat, they said: David Downton and Richard Haines. That was the spark.

We made it happen. David and Richard flew in. Friends opened their doors. And for a week, we simply wandered—being, seeing, feeling Rome. Andrea, Richard, and David—three of the greatest living fashion illustrators—communed and sketched together.

No agenda. No production. No sponsors. Just presence.

A quiet celebration of friendship, artistry, and the Roman way of letting beauty unfold.
